Sheppard and McKay are in a compartment. A dart strikes
Atlantis. Somehow they are separated and the compartment
that the dart hits is where Sheppard happens to be.
A piece of the bulkhead is sheared off by the dark and strikes Sheppard through the left shoulder pinning him to the hatch.....
He is not only bleeding profusely and hung up on the hatch,
but the wraith who was flying the dart is NOT dead.
