Oh! I simply loved John's ending because it was so John in all his recklessness and self-sacrificing, caring nature. This time (too) there just wasn't an out and I had my neck hairs raised as Sheppard had flashbacks and slammed the brakes. I said to a friend of mine: "I have a strong feeling about Sheppard not getting out of this one alive" and damn - it's just a tv show and yet my hands were shaking as I had a cigarette after the ep. I was mollified and in TOTAL awe, because srsl, in so, so many ways; "Vegas" rocked and there was no other ending IMHO.

Except in this fic. I really liked this because sure - I got the 'Oh no, he's dying alone, no, no, noooo' feeling and blaming for McKay for forgetting their (almost) savior as soon as the target was neutralized so this fic gave an out to all of that. So thank you for this - giving hope and twisting it all back to better.
