Wow, I'm worn out after reading this. Excellent job of creating the frenetic, confusing, loud and dangerous atmosphere, especially the size and scope of the freight yard. Could feel the confusion and adrenaline as the outnumbered team kept fighting. Very scary when the extra life signs popped up and then the stun grenade went off. Loved John's singular focus on tactics and fighting, of out-thinking the opponent. Good Bates voice, liked that he wanted to fight but listened to John and then was the first rescuer on the scene. Poor John, so much damage from the M16 but great whump. Love the team coming together, of Rodney's panic and then yelling at John, of Teyla's quiet, tactile support and Ronon zeroing in on John and telling him to fight. Yay, for that bond with Todd and him helping out even if he did take advantage during the firefight. Enjoyed the honor of keeping his word as Todd went to John and taunted him yet did surrender when back up arrived. Thanks too for Nancy and the extra marines as the medic may have saved John's life or at least kept him alive. Still so many questions as to who are the bad guys and how high up are the leaders. Great chapter with lots of action, angst, h/c and yet mystery and suspense. Look forward to the next part.
