This is really very lovely and I enjoyed it a lot. There was a lot of minutia that was (for obvious reasons) not portrayed on the show. It is really great to see someone taking the time to talk about John's *other* job (you know aside from landing in alien jail all the time) running the military contingent as a strong and good leader.

Maybe he could rig a supercharged golf cart to do the job;

John would probably just figure out a way to turn it into a training tool for the marines. "Run faster or you'll be golf cart food"
