This fic just never stops being incredibly intense, no matter how often I read it. It can't have been easy for you to put your characters through the wringer like that, but it was so worth it. I so love your protective!-, furious!Danny! I loved how you turned the tables on them here, that you put Danny in the role of the one having the information, while Steve was the one used as leverage against him, that it was Danny who tried to keep Steve's spirits up, managed to get free, and finally got to go all Rambo on their kidnappers. Of course I especially loved that he was driven to do all that because he couldn't take Steve's suffering anymore (I really felt like strangling that bastard Boris myself at that point).

Danny trying to reach Steve through that wall and putting his fingers or hand against it as if he could reach out to Steve that way was just... asdfghjkl (=reviewer is currently lacking the words to describe how awesome a certain scene was :D). I couldn't decide if I wanted to hug Steve or punch him when he started apologizing to Danny despite being a complete wreck himself at that point (okay, I could never have brought myself to punch Steve in the condition he was in, so I guess I have to hug him instead ;-).

Danny doesn't want to remember any of this, but he'll relish being able to sit in the same room where here he can hear and see Steve.
