I reread this fic again today, and it still is as powerful as the first time I read it. It also strikes me how similar the torture is that Steve went through here, to the torture he went through in Korea with Wo Fat. Almost as if someone loved your idea and went on to use it. I have seen that many times now, where I read something in fanfic, and later it goes on to be canon. I loved hearing Danny's thoughts, which you don't get on the show (unlike Moonlight where they had Mick narrating along with the dialogue).
