Could Use Some Postive Vibes

Over the summer my kitty Lucybell has been dealing a variety of health issues. She's always had tummy problems, suffering from mega-colon, in which she's on medicine. During the last couple months we have had a horrible time with fleas. She's an indoor kitty, but this summer has been unreal. We bombed the apartment, gave her Frontline , but it was like an all out war. New fleas would invade even if all the others died.

She got a tapeworm as a result of the fleas, (they're carriers apparently) and it took a few weeks to battle that. Between the tapeworm and the fleas she's lost a lot of weight.

The last couple days she hasn't left my side. She won't eat, she looks miserable, and I just have this gut feeling that she's in a bad way.

Hubby is taking her to the vet tomorrow and I would really appreciate it if you guys could send positive vibes this way. She's ten years old, but she’s a robust Maine Coon, and until this, a very vibrant, healthy cat.

Thank you. I'm really scared because she literrly won't leave me and inists on laying her head on my arm or leg. I'd take her to the vet ER but I don't have enough on-hand cash to pay for a taxi since we don't on a car.

If you just need to get cash out of an ATM the taxi can run you by one. I've had to do that before. We don't own a car either.

I just joined a credit union b/c of severe financial issues so I don't have an ATM card, just a standard savings account that I have to go inside for. I don't own a credit card either. I know it sounds dumb, but living off of cash has helped us pay down debt, but even if I could go to an atm, I'd only have enough money to cover the ride b/c the hospital is so far away. When I go to work I can get a cash advance if needed.

I normally don't care if I'm poor until times liek these.

It doesn't sound dumb at all. I totally understand and always lived off cash only until a few years ago. I'm heading back in that direction, because I spend too much money with credit cards.

We're almost there as far as taking baby steps. We pay bills online using reloadble Visa Cards, thus ensuring we're still sticking to cash so to speak.

I think we're a year out fro geting out from under the rock after almost four years.

It will be a long time before we're done with out student loans. *sigh*

I'm nowhere near on the collge loans.Sigh. My hubby had cancer when he was 25. Add using credit cards to pay for basic needs, the car dying, and getting one of those loans with a 28% interest rate to fix it...and well, it snowballed and snowballed.

We started over when we moved to Buffalo four years ago and we're almost to the point where we don't worry as much.

That sounds so stressful. D:
