Fic Update
.Why is it when you have a nice cool idea in your head it does not translate well into words?
lol
Fate tried to fuck with me last night when I got a bad sinus attack right in the middle of things. I was ticked since I did a lot to make sure I had a few hours to write without interruptions. Though what I wrote under cold meds wasn't that insane!
The fist half of the chapter tone wise I'm happy with, but once the case starts, it drifts. We shall see, it might read better when its done. There is a lot going on in the first four chapters so that always makes me nervous, but it worked well before.
Have about 3500 words of chapter one down before it looked very odd to me. Will try to finish and go back and repair things that look wonky.
I think this first chapter will be about 5000 words, kind of meaty, but there's a lot of set up that needs to be done, so hope people don't mind.
Watched some Winter X-Games today, very cool no pun intended. Ended up staying home because I still feel kind of wiped out, so no movie today. growl.
Preparing for the Windows Vista Launch this Tuesday...joy.

Are you crazy woman, off course we don't mind. In fact you just go right on ahead and make it as long as you want. Is this the "Slow Burn" fic you were talking about? I'm dying to read it. I've really been missing you fic and Vic's. You guys gave me something to look forward to and kept me coming back to LJ(something that I've been very lax of as of late).

Right there with you. The sequel to "Remember My Name" is all planned out in my head, but when I try putting it down onto paper the POV goes to shit. I know what I want to do and how I want the story to progress but trying to figure out the proper tense is driving me(and by default my lovely beta EE) crazy.Grrrr.
I hope you have better luck than I do toots, cause I'm going nowhere fast.

Trying to get the reader to view eack POV is tricky, you have to have whole sections in one before moving onto the next. When writing "Tempus" I almost wrote it all from Warrick's POV, but then you would have been robbed of Nick's rising pani of his mind trying to wrap around what his body was feeling.
I've learned present can be good for fast, tense one shots while psat is the best for almost everything else...lol
If there is a not of inrospection or internal feelings, then present seems to be helpful.
Glad to you back on the boards the past few days, missed hearing your thoughts on stuff and just being around in general! Hope you're doing better.
As far as "Slow Burn" I need to re-tool the whole last section, but it'll have to wait till tommorrow.
