I've got a One Track Mind

This was just posted on Tumblr and it's a behind the scenes vignette with Alex and the writer for the Criminal Minds episode he was in called "The Big Wheel".

DO NOT WATCH this if you have not seen it. Big Spoilers.

This was one of my favorite CM eppys even before I knew who AOL was. It was special. The writing, the acting, the emotion. *wibble*

Fantastic.

Alex says it's his job to elevate the script material and boy did he ever.

Loved that ep! And this totally makes me want to watch it again! :D

I love this episode!
AOL got to show off his skills as an actor in this one. He seems like a total different person compared to the McGarrett we know, and of course love;-)

This is my favorite CM episode also. I was already an Alex fan, but this episode constantly amazes me with depth of his talent. It was a great story and the character was so complex and Alex acted the heck out of it. ;)

You are just now coming to recognize that?

Oh. My. God. Why did I quit CM? 8o Why?

This seems to be a very awesome episode. Wow.

I absolutely love this episode! It was such an intense episode and Alex really hit it out of the park. He freaked me out, but by the end I was tearing up, feeling bad for Vincent. I still get the chills when I watch it!

I loved that episode, too. He was so excellent as Vincent.

Thank you so much for finding this! This was such a great ep. Alex was wonderful in this ep! He actually made me feel sad for the serial killer.

This was GREAT. Thanks so much for posting this. Cheered me right up to see Alex's little smile right at the end. Plus reminded me of what a great episode this is.

Is it just me who thinks he looks like a sea-going Matthew Broderick in this?

That is the only CM episode I ever watched. For Alex.
And it was amazing. He was amazing.

I caught this episode last year and loved it - its one of those rare episodes of a TV show that stays with you long after you've watched it. Alex was phenomenal, such a wonderfully complex performance, so many actors would have over-egged it but he kept it very subdued and subtle.

I love that episode. I rewatched it after I got into H50 and it was just as good as I remembered. Alex was so amazing in that ep.

I didn't like this episode when I first watched it, but it was mostly because of the boy, he weirded me out, lol. When I started watching Five-0 and I thought that this O'Loughlin guy was cute, so I went ahead and checked him and I couldn't for the life of me recall what role he played on CM. This is what I value in actors, I like those who can become the character they play to the point that they are unrecognizable. I still can't quite believe that it's the same actor.
Frankly, as I recall, AOL's super-human acting skillz was what sold me on H50. :)

That episode is one of the most memorable Criminal Minds episodes I've watched. At the time I had no idea who Alex was and when I read he was in Criminal Minds and watched the episode again, I couldn't believe it was Alex. I didn't recognise him. Very few actors have the abilty to create totally distinctive characters. Many actors are the same in each role. Alex's acting abilities continue to astound me and it's why I find him so facinating to watch.
