These photos are making the rounds of fb. Every since this happened, there has been such vitriol statements (on twitter too) that I felt these photos to be refreshing and a relief. It reaffirms that the protestor's were a mob (reiterate mob mentality) and not the entire population. The mass media have made it seems as if we should just bomb the hell outta them, forgetting there are innocents (as usual).
That's very cool that people are speaking out about this. I love when people rise to the occasion and are amazing. I think we forget that it happens because the bad stuff is so hard to grok.
On the other hand (and this might not be very popular), I'd like to see Americans with similar signs: One goofball film maker does not represent the entire US or the First Amendment.
Yeah. We are very short-sided, there are billions of peaceful Muslims and a few who who take the extreme, like in any religion. Reports say that regualr Libyans tried to save Stevens.
Great photos. I've travelled to many places over the years, some of them worn torn and troubled but they've always been filled with loving amazing people. The media likes to tarnish entire countries with the same brush and highlight the extremists which only instigates more ill feeling. There is good everywhere but its rarely something the media are interested in.
