Press Release for 3.03

Press release under the cut: Spoilers for 3.03

“Lana I Ka Moana*” – McGarrett and Danny’s relaxing day at sea takes a deadly turn when their boat is hijacked and they are left to die in the middle of the ocean, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Monday, Oct. 8 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

*Lana I Ka Moana is Hawaiian for “Adrift”

OMG this is going to be fantastic! And it is written by Elwood Reid who wrote 1.20 among others.

yes! now I can't remember if this was touted as being a fishing trip for Danny birthday, or if I was just comparing that to a fic that had sort of the same premise.

now I need the press release for 301 and 302

I thought those other two press releases have been out? I know I read the full one for 3.01 a couple weeks of go. You should try spoliertv. Bet it's there.

I hadn't seen them. I'll have to check there

kasasl;kask;aks;ka;sk;aksk!

You said it so well. :-)

They had me at "Steve and Danny's relaxing day at sea", really, even before they added in boat hijackers and "left adrift to die". It sounds so promising I'm almost afraid of it, in a kind of "Please please please don't mess this up" kind of way...

I have faith! Plus the writers is the one who penned 1.20 which you should see.

The one I sent you the caps of with Steve and Danny going on a date rock climbing and then bad things happened..lol

[identity profile] black-raven135.livejournal.com 2012-09-17 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
This'll be tough even for a SEAL........

[identity profile] t-verano.livejournal.com 2012-09-17 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
"bad things happened"

BAD things. So bad. Yeah, that's the ticket. :-)

That does sound even more promising then!

[identity profile] kristen999.livejournal.com 2012-09-18 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
I can't wait to see how it unfolds!

[identity profile] lunachickk.livejournal.com 2012-09-18 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
I. Cannot. Wait.

[identity profile] mcparrot.livejournal.com 2012-09-18 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
Why would anyone think that leaving super SEAL adrift as sea would end badly for anyone other than the bad guy?

A bit like throwing Kono into the sea. All that happens is she is going to get wet, and pissed.

[identity profile] kristen999.livejournal.com 2012-09-18 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
I am stoked!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[identity profile] kristen999.livejournal.com 2012-09-18 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
Lo. True, not without saying putting a bullet in him. (*cough that's what I would do) But to look at is realistically, if they're deep at sea, and put in a rubber boat with no supplies, then based on currents, unless Steve can fly all he can do is prologue his and Danny's chances of survival until help came.

[identity profile] mcparrot.livejournal.com 2012-09-18 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
That's what would happen in real life, sure. But this is TV land and we all know the physics and biology are different to our world.

[identity profile] kristen999.livejournal.com 2012-09-18 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
*scratches head* This is true, but I was replying to you comment about it being incredulous. I'm sure TPTB will throw in some wrenches or it wouldn't be a big deal or good TV. :)

[identity profile] mcparrot.livejournal.com 2012-09-18 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I got that. I was just being funny.

I'm with you on the just shoot him thing. I mean if you really wanted the job done? But that definitely wouldn't be good TV. (Just look what happened when they tried that level of "realism" in Torchwood.)

But, truly, the rules don't apply the same in TV land. Characters (Steve) run around for days with penetrating gut wounds, get KOed and wake up and shake it off like nothing happened, fall of a roof and actually manage to land on the balcony a floor below with just a grimace, get hit by a car, suffer broken ribs and concussion (again) and yet still go spend a week deployed on an aircraft carrier. You see what I'm saying?

*flails* This is going to be so, so, so awesome!

Danny and Steve adrift on the ocean! \o/

I'm also curious how Steve managed to persuade Danny to get there (on the ocean not the boat) in the first place. :D

I'm so looking forward to this one! =)

I am super excited for it!!!!!!!!! And you know whatever happens Danny will say it's all of Steve's fault :-P

*g* This rant is going to be epic. XD

Only three weeks until we can see it! \o/

*g* This rant is going to be epic. XD

I was having the exact same thought!

This is Danny we're talking about here! I wonder how much of the rant will be improvised and how much of Danny's rants are scripted? :)

[identity profile] kristen999.livejournal.com 2012-09-22 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Well Alex did say in an interview that they had an argument coming up that was so long he still hadn't memorized it yet :-P

They do improvise a lot. Both AOL and Scott say they improv a ton of the cararguments. :)
