I liked the genesis of his gardening expertise (and how he probably does know how to turn the fertilizer into a bomb).
Y'know, I'd be willing to bet that if this were a first season story, at least some folks would have attributed Steve's gardening skills to working with Mom in the garden. Not after meeting Doris, though....
