This week

My mom arrives early tonight. I'm taking her to this Italian place know for good food and half off martinis on Monday nights ! She'll be here till later Thursday, where we'll explore the city since I haven't had time.

I have a second interview for a job Thursday morning. Its not a career job, but its something to get me out of the Hell of Best Buy during the holidays and the Buffalo winter. If I get it..its a 10 min walk form my house which makes not having car until late November a much easier thing to deal with.

Almost half way done with a new fic, this one has been slow going but I'm really enjoying writing it. Just about to get into the meaty, evil angsty parts.

Oh and Eric's buying a M-65 Black Army jacket as his choice for winter warmth. He called it his "Sheppard" jacket.

I grinned ear to ear at the cuteness of it.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Oh and attention Hollywood I'll write. Yep, if your show needs a screenwriter I'll take part and I'm cheap too :-D

TOO CUTE!

And I would so write for Hollywood, granted the actors may not like what I'd write for their characters..or they may love it, but I bet the audience would. *smile*

Oohh how cute with the jacket!! :-D
*was going to say something naughty but won't*
:-P

For a minute though I read it as Eric is buying a M-65.. like as in a machine gun (cos in my head it was M-16). I was like 'whoa... what's brought this on!!" hehehe

Tabula Rasa has downloaded now - will watch tonight.

SERIOUSLY looking at getting broadband for the net - wouldn't be the fastest speed, but would be 5X faster than our current speed, for 10GB per month (if we go over, we just drop back to dialup speed for no extra cost), costs about $10 more per month than we currently pay for unlimited dialup. So, a 30 hour epi download should take about 6 hours. And the phone line would be free all the time, and we could get a reasonably cheap wireless modem, so would avoid the need to rewire our house, and the computer could go anywhere in the house - good for us moving it around as we juggle rooms/space/babies.

I think you should take the writers strike as a sign that you should send some of your fics to the producers - who knows what could happen!!

Have a wonderful time with your mom. Please have a martini or 10 for me.

Oh and fantastic about the 2nd interview! That's like you know, basically just a "confirming" interview. :-D They must like you a lot! I reckon it'll be a cool job, even if just an interim one. You'll probably meet some cool people - staff and customers, and maybe this is the first time you've managed a single store on your own (i.e. away from the confines within a larger store) so it may just net you some great experience, and potentially some good contacts.

*hugs you*

Good luck on the second interview. I used to work at one of those "coffee" stores and absolutely hated the holidays! How many times can you make a no fat/half foam/caramel latte anyway?!?

I've seen my share of M-65s. Dad still has one in the closet some where. And I stole a pair of his boots when I went off to college. They really are quite comfortable. Eric will be very pleased with the coat =)
