SGA/SG1 Panels

The SGA and SGA/SG1 panel from Dragon Con are so worth watching. I so love the chemistry, bantering and fun these guys have together. Loved seeing them with Ben and Claudia on the mixed panel. All of them are up here.

SO, I wonder if Joe really let Jason stay for free with him in Vancouver?

Anyhow, lovely bunch. After Rachel arrived the guys really had a great time teasing her it was like this spark for banter!

Then Joe was late for the combined panel..Awesome!

Dad died nearly 4 weeks ago now. I posted about it on lj, but as you're not online much, you most likely missed my post. All things considered, we've come to accept it as being the right thing to happen for him at the best time for us really - so his body giving out like that was not only good for him, but in a way, for us too. (I had two weeks of holiday left before returning to work when he died). He had months ahead which would have been full of immense pain and suffering and he went really quickly, from a chest infection which led to a heart attack. He literally go sick and died several hours later, unexpectedly.

So in that sense, it was a relief. He wasn't happy in the nursing home, and visiting him was very tense and difficult at times for all of us - heartbreaking, at times. We did our best for him, right up till the end, but I don't think he appreciated it at times really. But such is life! I like to think he's at peace now, and we're learning to live without him as best we can, while remembering him fondly.

Sorry about your net issues. :( What a pain!

I'll go look at your con report and thoughts now - sorry I missed it :(

I agree with your opinion of Joe. I also think he can be quite moody and serious at times, and that he's a bit of a rebel; he's not afraid to say what he thinks, and will fight for what he believes to be right even if it makes him unpopular with 'the man'. He's strangely self-confident for a reserved man in a lot of ways, which could be owing to his private education, or the fact that he comes from a wealthy family. I also think he's come to appreciate his fans much more recently, and that he's truly come to appreciate scifi as a genre as well.

In my opinion Joe isn't a 'people' person like David Hewlett is, for example. He struggles to make small talk and as a shy person struggles sometimes to know what to say. I find that rather endearing. I married a shy, quiet, attractive, dark-haired, slim man - who is brutally honest at times, very intelligent and knowledgeable too, so obviously I find Joe to be interesting! Hehe!

I'll PM you and pass on my email addy to you.

I can't wait to read your new story, when it's finished! :D
