I've always loved this picture and it is even on Joe's IMDB profile, but I don't know where it came from. Where it was taken? It's such a neat shot.

hehe i don't know where that picture is taken of joe.. looks like up in the mountains around vancouver though

I "think" it's a picture his wife took while they were camping. Though don't quote me on it. As for what he's doing, maybe getting ready to ski or is done skiing, as those two poles with the cloth on them look like ski poles. Again, don't quote me on it :/

Yeah, I knew those were ski poles, but had not heard it was a pic his wife took. It really is a wonderful shot.

There are places in RMNP, CO, where the snow lasts even 'til August and I've seen skiers hike up to lakes like that one and ski down the little valleys where there is still snow. I've always loved that pic too and wondered if that was what he was doing?!!! I would love to know more, too.

No clue on where the first pic came from, but I've always wondered about it too. My wild guess was that maybe it was from one of those pilots he did that never made it on the air. Never heard the wife story before. Hope you find the answer!

I wonder if that pic was taken in Joe's mountain climbing days. Those two poles in front of him, remind me of mountain climbing poles or ski poles.
