Help Pakistan

Photobucket

I wanted to spread the word about the [livejournal.com profile] help_pakistan charity auction going on. As we know that country has suffered great flooding, effecting millions of people and greatly needs help and support. Here are the rules and information of the site. And here is a list of charities that are involved, many in which you can trust will go to the organizations that are involved now.

If you're interested in offering something go ahead and sign up, or if you're looking to donate, take a look at the offerings.

I'm debating about signing up since I would not be able to write anything until October after I fulfill my [livejournal.com profile] help_haiti story and I'm not sure if that's fair to those donating.

Well, I don't know.... I'd donate and wait. Hmmm, 150.00 for the rewrite of Inquisition, maybe? :-)

That would be an amazing donation. I'm going to think about it over the weekend. Secret Santa time is in October and after your fic is written, Beth and I start our 'other' project that should occupy ourselves for many, many months.

If I did anything, it would be a short fic under 5k words. Will ponder....

[livejournal.com profile] coolbreeze1 is offering a story 1,000 to 10,000k words at this link. She's an awesome SGA writer!

So, given the pr -donation option, do you have any objections to a donation to the Team Rubicon folks again? They've put together a team to take 8000 doses of Oral Rehydration Solution to Pakistan. I rather like knowing exactly what my donation is for but again, if you have a preference as to charity, let me know.

Team Rubicon does good work, I have no objection at all. One of the biggest crisis is going to be water born disease and the more boots on the ground medical wise, the better.
