Hmmmmm. Wonder what a small taste means? This is TVland so they would ignore the fact Steve would have to train with a team for months before a mission so I'm curious.

I've been thinking about this so much since he's transferred. I'm thinking maybe it's where he has to do some training for the weekend or whatever and something happens?

That would be interesting. I wish we got a glimpse of some of his training in the reserves.

When I was contemplating a plot regarding this my 'work around' was that Steve was called for a mission regarding an important political/military contact that only trusted Steve to work with or for an extraction so timing was important. Because even in the reserves Steve would not be in "SEAL" shape to go on a mission with another team.

Either way. I'm fascinated. :D

There should be like a war games episode or something. That would be a neat way to show it.

In regards to the fic aspect of Steve being in the reserves, I wonder how many writers take into account that in order for him to go out on a mission, he'd possibly have to do months of training, before the actual mission.

Ohhh. That's a cool idea.

A lot of fic writers don’t even know about the year + training that SEALs go through after BUDs. But I have see some stories that include the fact that he would have to train, but a lot just have him just be plucked out.
