Saw a tweet buried in Lenkov's twitter and it made me smile. It's an answer to a fan's question, one that is right up my alley. It's not a plot spoiler, but I put it under a cut for those who want to avoid everything.

This made me a very pleased fan girl during an exhausting day. Yes, I'm shallow :-P

Now that begs the question what Peter considers to be dress blues? Service dress or mess dress? I'm hoping formal mess dress with the actual medals, but I'll take normal dress blues, too. Then again, depending on the occasion this could be as a result of something bad or good. Eeep!

I'm in 100% agreement with you!

I saw the movie "Battleship" last weekend, and it was full of sailors in white uniforms. I actually spent the first half of the movie thinking, "I would love to see McGarrett dressed like that."

I wouldn't mind the white dress either, but the blue dress can mean several variations depending on the occasion.

Interesting! So in the movie they were wearing the summer white service uniform. I like those dinner dress uniforms. Steve should wear that soon! Very soon, please.

I know I'm a Debbie Downer for thinking this, because Steve really is smashing in his dress blues, but doesn't that mean official Navy business or a funeral?

Yes and no? It is a possibility so maybe I should take my excitement down a notch. eeep! But there are different versions of dress blues depending on the occasion. Which is why I wish we knew if it was dress mess or service dress.

Oh god me too! I want the full dress whites and will take nothing less (I blame Officer and a Gentleman for this thing I have for them).

I used to work with an ex-Nuclear sub commander and he once was telling me casually about this Navy event he'd been to and said he'd had to wear his dress whites and I just made such an idiot of myself getting all giddy. I didn't even find him attractive at all and worked with him for god's sake.
