----The Christmas special Doctor Who: The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe airs stateside Dec. 25 at 9/8c on BBC America.

----Chris Meloni is officially joining True Blood as a series regular in Season 5.

According to executive producer Alan Ball, the former Law & Order: SVU front man will play, ”An ancient, powerful vampire who holds the fate of Bill and Eric in his hands.”

OMG. Am I going to be forced to watch this show? Because its Meloni. On HBO again. I loved him in SVU and OZ and this is....akjshkahskahshaslh

----I have a three day weekend after I work Friday! OMG. YAY!!! I'll be hanging out with everybetty tomorrow night for fun times. Then I'm not going to anything that requires effort.

Okay, maybe I'll write. In fact, I plan on starting my 2.10 coda since I'm done with the first round of research. Because you know I can’t ever write anything without creating a new research folder. :D

I always write to music. Not NIN all the time b/c I get caught up in the lyrics, but Trent released "Ghosts" which is 3 cds of instrumental music. Then the Social Network soundtrack and now Dragon--which is perfect for writing.

Yay for shopping!!!!!!!

Good to 'see you'. Since my vacation, I felt like we haven't crossed paths much of late. Must fix that!

I'm quite excited about Meloni joining TB - last season was a disappointment so I'm hoping that they can pull things round and I'm excited about finally meeting The Authority plus we get to see Bill & Eric working together. So yay!

Though I will say True Blood is a love it or hate it show and I think maybe a bit of an acquired taste - ridiculous plots, dodgy SFX, cheesy dialogue, bad language, copious amounts of blood and gore (though its never very realistic), gratuitous nudity and plenty of sex scenes, some of which are a little disturbing. Also the cast is far too large and Anna Paquin can be deeply annoying and screechy as Sookie which is unfortunate.

Having said that its also very funny, at times touching, and the supporting cast are fantastic and if you like a bit of campy fun then it fits the bill.
