I loved this story, and I was wondering about something John said near the end. In the infirmary after John's attempt to force the Wraith into hibernation, McKay is pushing John to try ascension and John can't admit to McKay the real reason he won't try. So what is the real reason, and why is he reluctant to tell McKay? I have some vague notion but John in your story was so real and alive, and I'd love to hear more details about how you see John.
