Sin Ball!

I think its funny that after five years of doing club promotions, producing events, festivals..that the year I want to “take it easy" is the year all the hard work pays off. I do charity events from time to time, fun, and easy. I get paid to arrange for events, instead of fronting the money and taking the door.

For the very first time, the biggest club in town asked us to do an event for them..on NEW YEARS the biggest day of the year! The theme was left to us, and considering the nature of the club we're going for a Decadence Ball, a Sin party.

Only semi formal to formal wear allowed or any fetish attire. The theme will be all about sin, lavishness, decadence. We're in negotiation's with several boutiques, tattoo places, body piercing and adult stores to sponsor prizes for sexiest couple, best dressed, most dominatrix....etc.

Been talking to dessert vender's for a desert buffet, we're trying to contact a few people for an S&M demonstration, all of this including print, radio and street team advertising. The main room will be top 40, club type stuff--- back room lite jazz, down tempo--a VIP area of course. Full video projections, the works.

All this with them paying US, and we still take the door. I think this will be the best fun I've had planning such an elaborate event..our street teams are going to get a work out. We get to finally test some of my more interesting ideas at promoting ...years ago I never thought I'd be putting together a sin ball...what fun!

"Stuck In a Moment" (1/1)
Title: Stuck In A moment

Author: Kristen999

Category: Angst/ Character Study

Spoilers: General for season 6. “Gum Drops” and Season 5' “Grave Danger”

Disclaimer: All rights belong to CBS and all their fine writers. Please don't sue. This is just for fun.

Summary: Denial is the enemy. Nick battles himself. Post Season 6 Themes. Nick/Grissom Friendship.

Notes: This is a character examination during season 6. A Major coda specifically to “Gum Drops” However it's not exactly what's been written before. I tried another approach, I hope people enjoy it. Please let me know your thoughts.

Big Thanks to Tinkerbell for her swift beta. A buddy told me it had been two week since I wrote something. I just had to fix that.

******

After posting this little one shot, I got quite a bit of e-mail asking me to write more. I had this "style" thing going with this and I just don't know how I could....I was a bit weirded out about leaving it so "open ended", and I could see myself writing more...but then would I lose the uniqueness of the story? Does it really need more?

I think not...but part of me kind of wants to.....then again I would want to retain how I wrote it.

Hmm any feedback/discussion is welcomed.
