New Music

Here it is, Trent Reznor's first musical offering since the end of Nine Inch Nails: "How to Destroy Angels".

"How to Destroy Angels" is Reznor's collaboration with his wife, former West Indian Girl frontwoman Mariqueen Maandig. They will release their self-titled debut EP this summer. All we know about this track is that it was mixed by Alan Moulder, who has worked with Nine Inch Nails in the past.

I was pretty skeptical about this at first. I don't know much about Mariqueen and I tend to shy away from female singers, but this is really cool. It's a dark mellow song with Trent's musical touch and his wife's creepy, but cool vocal. She reminds me a bit of Poe, but slightly darker.

The video is the aftermath of a crime scene and is very surreal. There's another vid out that I'm going to check out.
