Oh, gosh. This is sooooo awesome. I realize I only read 1/4 of the chapter last night because I didn't know there was a "Part B" when I shut down the computer. Even with 1/4 I was still hooked. I love how the story starts out under such dire circumstances. Such a brutal place. Your construction of the total environment is awesome - everything from the land itself to the details of the clothing - very immersive. It's going to be one tough fight for survival, I think. *scurries off to read part b*
