Is anyone going on my f-list going to Dragon Con this year? [livejournal.com profile] coolbreeze1 and I are attending together. I admit Chicago Con was so, so tempting, but the both of us wanted to do to something a bit different and with more bang for the buck.

When I lived in Atlanta I used to go when I was in my 20's, but it's so much bigger now.

"The Guest List Has a nice variety of TV/Movie folk, authors and illustrators."

Some of which includes:

Jim Beaver, Misha Collins, Colin Ferguson, Joe Flanigan, Lance Henriksen, Christopher Heyerdahl, Michael Madsen, Mary McDonnell, Robert Duncan McNeill, Kate Mulgrew, Leonard Nimoy, David Nykl, Michael Rosenbaum, William Shatner, Mark A. Sheppard, Brent Spiner, Amanda Tapping, Wil Wheaton

And over 230 more :D

In theory, I'm going. ;-) I say that because I was supposed to go last year, and had to cancel at the last minute. But I'm really hoping to go this time! *fingers crossed*

Great guests, but I understand Dragon Con is a real crush and you spend hours and hours in line. On the other hand, I've always wanted to go because so many fabulous authors go. I imagine Jim Butcher will be there, and Rob Thurman. Of course, Ben Browder and Kavan Smith will be in Chicago, so you can tell why I'm going to be there and not at Dragon Con!

Dragon Con sounds cool - so much to see and enjoy. I like that it has guest from such a variety of backgrounds. I am thinking I might even check it out myself one of these years. I hope you have a great trip.

I have to say I am very tempted, even though I'm going to the Chicago con the week before (which will probably be my last Creation con). I went to Phoenix Comic Con (about 20,000 people) by myself, survived and had a good time - I can imagine it being even better with a couple friends - there was just so much going on.

I lived in Atlanta about a decade ago - I'm sure the area has really changed (I lived in Midtown near Ga. Tech and it was extremely sketchy).

I'm thinking about going. I'll be in the US just before it and might arrive a day or two late.

I wish I could attend, however, I have not the $$ to do so this year. I am working on getting myself out of the red first with starting this new massage practice. :-p
