I've mentioned a lot of this elsewhere but what the heck.
This episode was freaking brilliant, but let me get this off my chest first. I would love the Adam/Kono thing if there had been a single bit of built up or hint. Because it was cool and hot and they acted the hell out of that and it felt more like a distraction than anything. I'm guessing we missed a chance of a build up from the canceled eppy leading to this, but given that, I'm pretty easy going guys. I really looking forward to where that goes in future seasons. I like Adam.
OMG. Steve!! All the feelings. All the damn guns! He was so bad-assed. He organized a strike force with Interpol? really? Steve has the PULL, people. And I noticed when he marched Wo Fat toward the plane, the way his hand was on Wo fat's neck was reminiscent of when Wo Fat had Steve marched through the forest by that rope.
I love how freaking in charge and control he was in. That fight scene? asjklajsjakjsasj! Wo Fat's little taunt? I've watched the eppy twice and Wo Fat had Steve out fought and lets face it, Wo Fat is a better fighter. That IS HIS skill set, but Steve found a way to beat him and I loved all the counter moves and the use of the environment to defeat him because that is the essence of Krav Maga fighting.
And then he took no freaking prisoners. I loved that round house kick when Wo Fat tried to kill him. That was like "Stay down you bitch". Steve went from flying a plane to flying a helo.
Danny!! I loved the emotion, the phone calls. He buried that anger because his concern was bleeding out of him. My favorite moment was him threatening the CIA if the plane went down. I.E do not harm Steve or I will kill you all! Then his escape!! OMG Scott knocked this one out of the park! Such a good egg!
But the end did me in. All the hugs. Kono hugs and Chin hugs and extra hugs from Danny. So much love!
And that end scene with Wo Fat. OMG. Steve's face? His 'this is where you're going to die." HIS FACE! Did I say that? I love the fact that Steve could have killed Wo Fat, but he didn't. I could just imagine the emotional free fall from this. I mean he finally captured his guy for now and I bet there's going to be a huge black-hole and Steve's going to have to figure out filling it with something positive.
