Short review. My brain power has been depleted by fic editing.
Catherine. I love her. I love the fact that she wasn’t going to stay behind in the bedroom and her caveman comment. She had a meeting at the base! She’s still working. Lol, show. It’s improvement. Ha! But I loved seeing different facets with her. Just keeping digging deeper and I’ll love you.
Doris. Wow. She is feisty. Holy hell. She really is Steve’s mother. Hidden film, huh? What are you up to? I hate the face she’s hurting Steve, but she’s got a hell of presence.
Anyone catch the parallel theme between the case of the son and the mother and Steve and his mom? Or was it just me? (Because both mothers put themselves first over their family--at least that is how I feel about Doris atm.)
Danny and Kono. I loved their scenes together. I like them mixing things up with the characters. I'm a bit fascinated by Danny’s beliefs in psychics.
Steve. Oh, Steve. I ache for you. You don’t want to face the fact you mom IS STILL lying to you. Damn. But you’re smarter than she’s giving you credit for and I can’t wait until you pull one over on her.
The gratuitous tetanus shot gets high marks for fan service.
I’m sorry. I cheered when Steve punched that guy. Yeah, he’s not supposed to, but I’ll gladly point out that scene to anyone who says Steve is too stoic in the show. His empathy toward kid victims. Oh, you and your issues. *pets*
The pacing was off on this eppy, and some scenes seemed forced, but overall I enjoyed it for a case of the week with the Doris storyline.
