This is just perfect. You've really connected to Steve as he is when he's in military mindset, and you use Kono beautifully to show that! I loved the glimpses of Danny, because without spending a long time on it, you highlighted the special place Danny occupies in Steve's life. But you also brought out the aspects of Steve I love; the way he teaches, his unerring focus, his demand for the best... Adore this.
