Think I'm going to have to watch the episode again. Wo Fat's escape was just a little crazy - I imagine the writers were on a sugar high and had just watched a James Bond marathon. Wo Fat certainly seemed surprised at his rescuer - kind of got the impression he felt Delano was beneath him. (Note: HPD must have a rotten mortality rate and they still have moles?). I'm not sure how I feel about Mama McGarrett - love how she was tough, but also get the impression, she felt motherhood crimped her career. Still love the Kamekona moment and little Stevie. I agree the Wo Fat as her son would be too soap-operaish, but maybe she was his step mom at an impressionable point.
Kono was bad-ass, but wish we could have seen some quieter moments between her and Chin dealing with the aftermath since they are family. I like the romance between her and Adam for now - there's a little Romeo and Juliet going on there, plus I think they both are types that see the world in shades of gray because of their respective jobs, and I think Kono would want to date someone just as tough as she is.
Love the cargument. AOL did a nice job with the momentary 'Mom' and then checking his emotions. Love Catherine and her bit in this. However, I think DDK gets the prize for his part as Chin, especially at the end... hope we get to see him dealing with some lingering issues.
