Unlike last week when I had the next night off, this is quick. Yay! New eppy! (I've got to used to this)

I loved the paddle out. It was beautiful. When Cath asked Steve how anyone could get over such tragedy, I thought his answer was very revealing to all the loss he's faced. Or I'm reading into it too much. Either way, DDK is rocking it.

I had many feelings when everyone returned to HQ and each gave Chin love.

Did anyone notice Danny hanging on Steve's shoulder when he was looking at the cellphone pictures after they found the DBs from the at heist?

Poor Danny. Always in the back seat of his own car. But I did enjoy this week's banter and bickering. There seemed to be a lot more Steve and Danny in this and it was enjoyable.

The case was at usual neck break speed. Doesn't bother me after having an NCIS marathon in the background this weekend reminding me all CBS shows do that

Steve owes Cath a ton of favors . Yeah, she used her assets to gain information, if it was Steve in her shoes, people don't think he's wouldn't flirt to get what he needed? I like how they flipped things and showed how she was able to extract the info form her mark. I like Cath. She kicks ass.

Mom is on the island, huh? Hmmm. They did a good job of not letting that dominate the plot.

I felt this eppy was a lot more even and really hit the emotional moments with Chin. Those were the best parts, especially the end with Danny and Chin on the beach, but it wasn't the most exciting or memorable eppy. I do give kudos for spreading the impact of Mali's death out, I'll be curious if they do it justice and sprinkle it through out the rest of the season.

Okay, this wasn't very thinky. I have to go to bed. :)

THe one thing that kinda bugged me is how quiet and calm Danny is in the car. Carguments without the usual bite and no complaints about maybe busting the Camaro's suspension... SOmething's up with Danny, methinks.

But I do agree, Cath kicks butt. And LOVED the Danny-Chin moment on the beach. And for the record I will NEVER get into a helicopter with Kamekona at the controls. Steve though? *dreamy sigh* Off to bed too, as work is in 9 hours and I need 2 of those to get me and the 4-legs up, fed and settled plus did I mention traffic??

I heading to bed too, seems like that alarm goes off so quickly, but yes I did notice Danny hanging on Steve's shoulder.

LOL @ the 'are we there yet'. Danny needs to drive his own car from time to time.

The end with Danny and Chin was so good!

It's 3:30am because I simply could not wait till tomorrow to watch it. At least I have the day off.

I really liked how they balanced both plots. And it was really nice to see how Cath does her thing. There's surely something fishy there with the whole mommy issue.

DDK is doing a really awesome job, isn't he. And, awww, the teaminess, all the love and hugs, I love it so much.

Oh, yes -- loved the opening. Would have been even better if they'd given us the last bit of the ceremony (the bit that was in the BTS clip) and less of the shoot-up/car chase.

I like that they've gone the sad, more zen approach for Chin, rather than rage. I think it suits what we know of him.

And yay for the leaning! Danno, you just can't keep your hands off Steve, can you? :D Somehow, I almost like those more subtle "just can't help myself" moments even more than the more overt stuff.

Oh yes, loved Danny in the back seat. :D Loved all the bickering in this ep--Danny was in fine form. Maybe he was trying to distract Steve from all the crap going on in his life? I'd like to think that.

Danny needs to drape himself over Steve all the time. It's so darn adorable.

And I loved how the emotional stuff with Chin was woven into the episode--nicely done.

i enjoyed it.

dhu, Ed Asner played his role perfectly. Deeply, deeply creepy, and he could switch it on and off. I was watching him thinking ewwww. I kind of want to write him a fan letter. I did like him as the anti-Kamekona, a criminal snitch who is actually a criminal, and a bad guy. I would have liked to have seen him for a couple of more eps before his comeuppance. I actually squeaked when he walked in front of the truck.

Ah, the funeral and the section interspersed through the ep where they tried to help Chin. The funeral was perfect. I could actually write a lot about that, but I will sum it up by saying: sniff.

I thought so, too. I loved that scene (and of course it once again made me want to hug Steve).

I didn't notice Danny hanging on Steve's shoulder in that scene - now I really have to watch it again. :D

I wasn't too happy with some of the Steve-Danny scenes, it often seemed too aggressive to me. That may be just me, though. In any case, there was a lot more Danny, which was good. Apart from that, I think we loved the same things in this ep. All the team-y scenes made me happy!

I'm just uncomplicatedly happy because
1) The opening scene was truly beautiful
2) Steve's You Don't Get Over It to Cath was so telling
3) Cath is cool (and I love that she and Steve still have their thing -- I assume -- but they haven't immediately fallen into romance with a capital R now that she's living on Oahu. So far it doesn't feel forced (and it's not making me insanely jealous for Steve/Danny :-)), and I'm proud of Show for doing that.
4) August March is a terrifically creepy and evil villain. I found myself wishing he'd had a contingency plan and it would've been somebody else's squashed remains under the wheels of that truck. Ed Asner really rocked that role.
5) Some fine Steve and Danny moments ("our marriage" :-)) and lovely Team moments and heartbreaking Chin moments.
6) Steve is too gorgeous to really exist, he has to be a figment of my imagination. Every single scene with him, he was just making me lose track of everything else. I no longer know how to cope with this... :-)))

I loved the paddle out (so sad :(), the "meeting" of all four at HQ with the hugs and Steve's "That's what family is for" ♥ and the end with the Team being together and Danny going to Chin. ♥

Daniel Dae Kim rocks this so much. As you mentioned - I hope that we get to see some of his grief during the next episodes/this season too.

With every second Catherine is on screen I'm loving her more (haven't thought that this is possible but apparently it is). I loved that she used *everything* that she has to get the information she needs in order to find out where Doris is. Also, the scene in which Steve asks her about the favour? You can see how familiar they are with each other, how good they know each other and that they trust each other. *big happy sigh*

I loved the snark and banter between Danny and Steve but I didn't notice the leaning. I might have to rewatch the episode so that I can see it.

I'm really curious why Doris stayed on the island. It will be interesting when they show us more about this plotline...

Work decided to demand that I actually, y'know, work this week and I was traveling and oy. But I was excited to see what you thought. :)

When Cath asked Steve how anyone could get over such tragedy, I thought his answer was very revealing to all the loss he's faced.

YES. I thought the same thing and by the sidelong look she gave him, I wonder if she did, too.

I loved how she got the intel he asked for. Shows how capable she is and that she really is a good match for him. She holds her own and I dig it.

I was pretty tired when I watched this and was kinda just going with the flow until that old dude committed suicide by semi and then I gasped and gaped and covered my mouth. I totally didn't see that coming.

And Mama McGarett's on the island, huh? Yeah, she's climbing higher on my sh*t list. I feel my protective instinct kicking in and it's so cool because when whatever IT is goes down, there's potential for ALL THE ANGST. Goodness, how I love it.

I'm still spinning from the SPN premiere (and staying up to the wee hours Rambling on about it), so I'll just see ya next week sometime. :)
