God, this is just gorgeous---the fanfics I love the most are always the stories that could be about anyone, that have less to do with the show than with the people they're about, even if it is the characters I love that has me reading them. Cause forget that Ronon's an alien warrior from another world, this is all about very human emotions and learning to be something you thought you weren't capable of anymore.
And I'm totally rambling again, but I love everything about this, starting with the title, which is less about John coming back to life than it is about Ronon coming back to life, in my eyes at least.
And the class that Ronon took, this line He'd been the last person in class to get his certificate for completing the CPR course, staying hours after everyone else was done, and all of the parts where Ronon recalls the dummies he's killed in training, thinking of himself as a destroyer incapable of anything else.
You write lovely lovely Ronon, and I loved the way you pealed back all those layers of his, took away all of his survival instincts from his years of running and left him creating something from nothing. I hope that all makes sense, I'm breaking my no reviews after midnight rule again--but suffice it to say, I loved this.
