SGA Tonight!!!!
Nov. 7th, 2008 10:17 pmNow that's what I'm talking about!!!
Going to bed. Work is early. So this is fast and loose. Squee really.
This was a team eppy!
Finally back to good old John and Rodney banter. Hanging out, racing cars and acting like kids. Even when John cheats :-P
Ronon and Woosley and his 'mission' reports.
I'm so happy that they fleshed Micheal out, making him just a bit sympathetic over the monster Atlantis made to begin with. I really truly think he wanted Teyla to come with him. But he really was more intent on revenge then anything and was ticked that she didn't choose earlier. And I thought it was pretty in character for him want to kill Ronon before he left.
Speaking of. Ronon! Loved that he was the only one at the time who could do anything. Great fight between him and Micheal. And I adored his admiration of Banks...see, he deserves to date someone like her!
Loved the Rodney and John banter with Radek. Rodney forgot to repair the jumpers from two years ago! Loved it.
Also, acknowledgment of John's numerous suicide runs in the past. And the hand shake! The expressions. Awesome.
I was just happy of the back and forth of tension between all of the team.
I loved the last bits. I think it was fitting that John had a show down with Micheal ..I mean he did approve of the experiment..and that Teyla got to be the hero in the end. Killing Micheal once and for all.
And the end with Ronon's mission report and back to the boys and their toys.
This is what Atlantis is all about. Action. Humor. Teamness.
Thank you Mr. Binder!

Date: 2008-11-08 06:43 am (UTC)honestly I hope Michael's dead and stays dead - however even if they have a body there's no guarantee he can't come back - afterall look at Carson and look at Kolya
did anyone notice that he seemed to have reverted or re-reverted towards more human again? his hair was darker, his complexion less pasty white, etc.? did they really explain in the ep how he managed to pilot a jumper - did I miss it somehow? as he shouldn't have the ATA gene - though considering he had the Carson clone long enough he may well have initiated a little ATA gene retrovirus therapy on himself?
I was pleased to see Sheppard get some real action in - although I was disappointed that there wasn't more ShepWhump in evidence at the end
definitely enjoyed the banter btwn McKay and Zelenka ("stun bubble" vs "forcefield"), the banter btwn McKay and Sheppard (did love the trash talking LOL) - I'm glad we got the whole gang involved - from Woolsey to Ronon to Lorne as well
hmmm... now if only someone would write a tag with a little leftover whumpage for Sheppard :D

Date: 2008-11-10 01:28 am (UTC)I think this was the end of Michael, even JM pretty much said so on his blog. Micheal had Carson for two years so I'm sure he got the ATA therapy from him. I'm guessing Michael has been messing around with his own genes or it could have been the difference between the dark lightning on the Hive and the city....but I'm sure it was a choice to make him 'appear' more human.
There's a sweet tag that liketheriver did, I won't have time since I'm working on something I'm half-way done with. But I was happy ab out this eppy.. everyone got to be a hero in it!

Date: 2008-11-08 09:10 pm (UTC)The music in this ep was extraordinary! Joel Goldsmith outdid himself! Awesome!
I was happy that everybody got something to do, that nobody was "just there"!
On a shallow note - Teyla was gorgeous in this ep! In the scene where she kicked Michael off the tower... Oh my god! She was so incredibly pretty!

Date: 2008-11-10 06:26 am (UTC)I blame an all male writing staff for Keller, I'd really like her, if they woudl just think before they penned their 'love arcs"..sigh

Date: 2008-11-09 05:17 am (UTC)One of my favorite parts was Sheppard and McKay down on the lower levels of Atlantis acting like overgrown children - in a GOOD way. This was just too cute!! I loved it. (You know they have to blow of some steam somehow, and this is 'so them'.)
I also like the part where Rodney has to tell John he didn't fix the jumpers. John's reaction - his facial expressions were priceless, along with Zelenka's 'uh-oh' face when John is talking out his plan. (LOL)
The fight at the end was awesome. Poor John gave almost as good as he got but I think he got his bell rung a little.
Even though I could see it coming, I was a tad surprised Teyla actually did it. I think Sheppard was too. Although I'd have been more surprised if she hadn't. (Threaten a warrior, you will invoke their wrath, threaten their family, you shall evoke your end...)
This was just an awesome episode from beginning to end. I can't wait for next week's ep!!!!!
Oh and Sheppard's fight scene at the end begs for a whump tag. *G* Somebody?? Anybody?? :D

Date: 2008-11-10 06:29 am (UTC)If Ronon couldn't beat Michel, I knew John had a little chance, but I'm glad he got to try and that Teyla in the end, finished the fight!

Date: 2008-11-10 03:38 pm (UTC)Hee. They make me smile and giggle...(yes, 'giggle') at their antics.
As for Teyla, *nods* I think she'd had just about enough. She definitely took care of business! :)
I CAN'T WAIT for this Friday's ep!!!! It looks AWESOME!!!!

Date: 2008-11-11 09:10 am (UTC)I enjoyed it at one level, but I think I'm just in a frustrated rut regarding the show and what it's not doing. It's interrupting my enjoyment of what it is doing. Like Teyla saving John and executing Michael. (It was so an execution - she did it with such deliberation!)
eg. I would have enjoyed this episode more if they'd done a bit more with Teyla while she was Michael's prisoner, and if the boys had shown a little more empathy towards Teyla's situation. That would have shifted it into full-blown 'team' for me. As it is, it felt mostly like Teyla was given make-work until she got to kick Michael off the ledge.
Although I am glad that each of the characters had their storyline. Carl Binder is usually pretty good for team.
