Date: 2008-11-17 08:01 am (UTC)Watching Remnants actually depressed me because Flanigan did such a good job showing how deeply unhappy and broken Sheppard is under the facade he projects. Lonely as well since he was noticeably alone and without allies or rescue in his delusion, literally the last man standing. All the characters except Teyla and Ronon seem to take him on face value too. They're going to end the show without resolving any of it and leave him a tortured and miserable person. It's such a dark fate. O'Neill for all his traumas was an essentially happy person, or if not happy, at least at peace for the most part. Ditto on the ever optimistic Cameron. Why leave Sheppard twisting in the wind like this? I guess the message is that they think he's too broken to fix?
