Date: 2008-11-22 06:39 am (UTC)Yeah, I guess fanficers will have to come up with the 'B" storyline.

Date: 2008-11-22 04:21 am (UTC)the medicine was malpracticed in this episode, and McKay was just a humongous "Marty Sue" for Gero.

Date: 2008-11-22 12:25 pm (UTC)Gero should be given his marching orders, not writing for SGEwwww!
I thought the whole episode was ridiculous. The medical stuff was so rubbish, I laughed! As for the 'I love you' Perleeeeze. Goodness, I do wonder how these writers maintian real life relationships if they write them like they write McKeller!

Okay, okay, okay - I will keep myself calm with the image of John & Ronon camping and surfing and getting all scruffy.
............ Yeah, that helps. =^.^=

Date: 2008-11-22 05:03 am (UTC)Ok, well, maybe it would make it easier if we got an entire episode of John stalking Rodney and "not Carson" through the halls making pouty faces and evil eyes at "her". :)
The shame is, I really loved Jewel Staite in Firefly. Five minutes into this HORRIBLE episode, I couldn't stand to look at her. When she rolled her eyes at Rodney in that plane I wanted to reach through and slap the crap out of her with one of Teyla's sticks....
I must stop before I go on forever. I'm going to go rewatch some of the great McShep moments of the season (as fleeting as they may be) and forget Keller even exists.

Date: 2008-11-22 05:32 am (UTC)Everything else following? blech!
I have no problem with Keller. Keller with Rodney? I'm not particularly happy with (yes I am a McShepper) but their interaction in this ep? major suckage! The whole thing was disgusting.

Date: 2008-11-22 06:03 am (UTC)from Keller acting all school marmish - to her patronizing almost condescending treatment of Rodney when he truly had legitimate concerns - grr...
all I could think was all the Sheppard/Ronon people were probably having a field day AND that I would have died to see John accompany Rodney (wouldn't we have just paid good money to see the TWO of them in tuxes??? or John accompanying Rodney in his dress blues?????? SIGH)
cause all I came away from the ep with in regards to McKeller was dammit they have made Rodney completely pathetic - I mean he had issues - he will always have issues but now he's all sappy over Keller cause she was NICE to him AFTER she basically patted him on the head over his legit concerns AND scolded him - argh!

Date: 2008-11-22 07:06 am (UTC)I don't like the sound of Keller making light of Rodney...thinking its better that I never see this.

Date: 2008-11-22 06:09 am (UTC)Ronon: Who cares
Um, Yep. That about sums it up.
Now I'm going to go hope someone wants to write a friendship fic about how John and Ronon's camping trip went. Humor, H/C, or just manly warrior type bonding.....

Date: 2008-11-22 09:07 am (UTC)The "science" and what passed for a plot was so awful that it was hilarious. But it would have been just as horrible if it had been John, Teyla or anyone else accompanying Rodney. It's probably not an episode I'll re-watch but not one that I disliked in the same way that I did, say, "Inquisition".
Of course, I watched it right on the heels of an episode of Supernatural that I found actively offensive on a number of levels, so a sweetly stupid episode of an earnestly clueless but well-meaning show was kinda the medicine I needed to stop me wanting to strangle Eric Kripke. *g*

Date: 2008-11-22 05:57 pm (UTC)At this point in time, with the eppys ticking away I don't think I could take a whole eppy of cute Rodney and Keller shoved down our throats with all the subtly of a bull in a china store.
I'd prefer a Teyla and Ronon storyline. Or balance it out with the camping trip we didn't see.
Will I watch this at another date. Yep. But not right now, when I'm trying to savor the show and not let certain elements that I don't think have been handled in a proper balance ruin things for me.
If there had been a season 6...I don't think this would be an issue at all.

Date: 2008-11-22 01:43 pm (UTC)I didn't watch the ep. Had no interest at all in watching McKay and Keller do whatever together. Ah well.
But I'm ecstatic to know that John and Ronon went camping! Oh, I bet they had a lot of fun, and also were attacked by cool alien monsters and stuff!
