Myths About Islam

I have many friends who practice many faiths including Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, and Islam. Over the last few days I've found the misconceptions about Islam spreading like wildfire and what's scarier, is how many people are lapping it with a spoon. I know it's a political year, and there are many controversies, but I thought I'd post an easy list of the top misconceptions about Islam.

What is it?

Just the basics please

I don't have time to read two million posts about the whole LJ, Facebook, Twitter stuff.

Why should I care? I think 99% of my posts are fic and pics and squee. I do have a Facebook account that I don't use, under my real name....but LJ is obviously a nickname. Twitter is a nickname and my account is on private.

What should I be fearing from this whole thing? And If I use the code to get rid of the boxes, is there anything else to worry about?

I'm not being sarcastic, I really am not sure what the blow-up is about and if I need to be. Plus, I don't want to move 700k words of fanfic.

Please, no crazy links. Just some simple explanations.
