I've been really down of late and it won't let up. I'm not big on talking about it on LJ, so could anyone rec their favorite 'comfort fics'?

I'm looking for one shots of warm fuzzies, the team taking care of each other or taking care of John. Team hugs or team sharing a bed for warmth or out of exhaustion. Kind of fluffy h/c that makes everything okay.

I was going to write one to cheer myself up, but I'm being selfish and would rather read them.

Thank you!!!

I came across this one earlier today. I had read it before and I was rather busy, but it was such a short and lovely, pure warm fuzzy fic that I indulged myself and read it again.

The Hammock of Ronon Dex

And this one a a short fuzzy favorite, too. Very sweet.

Their Own Holiday

On the Rocks (And I Mean Ice!) by [livejournal.com profile] xparrot has cold team snuggles.

I wrote this team-cuddling-while-the-snow-flies ficlet awhile back.

Friendly Competition by [livejournal.com profile] siegeofangels is quite possibly my favorite hugfic of all time.

Thank you so much, read the first two and it really helped. Going to tackle the hugfic after a nap :D

They have all been very wonderful. I'm half way through in between writing.

I've written several comfort fics, but you might like “Cold Comfort” (http://community.livejournal.com/sga_flashfic/693376.html).

I am sorry to hear this........
There is one, and I hope somebody can remember titles,
I am soooooooooooooooooo good at remembering content but not titles
:-/
where the team is trying to stay warm, and they all huddle together.......but then it brings out all the
'personal space' issues particularly Sheppard and McKay........who I believe is sandwiched in between Ronon and Teyla??? Not sure....
***HUGS**** and a bit of Joe's silliness to cheer you up.........
COME ON SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I offer three from Martha Wilson that always make me smile. They have good teaminess laced with a little humor.

Nap Time - http://www.ltljverse.com/watergate/stories/naptime.htm

PX7-501 - http://www.ltljverse.com/watergate/stories/px7501.htm

Typical Day - http://www.ltljverse.com/watergate/stories/typicalday.htm

I can't find my notebook with my LJ instructions and I can't remember how to make them links, so maybe you could copy and paste - sorry. I think they'll make you smile though. Hope so. And I hope things get better. I'll be thinking about you!!

Oh! Since Titan5 mentioned Martha Wilson, this is one of my absolute favorites of hers -

Opening the Door to Strangers - it's lovely, cuddly, teamy season-one Teyla h/c, which there is just never enough of!

Umm... a little one shot I wrote. I hope it helps you feel better. *hugs*

----------

“Something’s bothering you.” John stuffed his hands deep in his pockets and waited. He nodded slightly at the sound of Ronon’s typical and non-committal grunt. “Don’t want to talk about it, huh?”

Another grunt.

John’s brows quirked. “So, something really is bothering you.” He knew he was close to the mark when the grunt took on a note of annoyance. “You really should get it off your chest, you know.”

The grunt turned to a growl.

John lifted a placating hand. “Okay, all right, I get it. You don’t want to talk. I’m not going to force you…” his brows furrowed, “not that I think I could anyway….” He turned and started to walk away.

“Sheppard.”

John smiled briefly before forcing a neutral look to his face and turning around. “What?” His brows arched in feigned innocence; a look he immediately knew Ronon didn’t buy.

“Why are you doing this?” Ronon crossed his arms and stared back.

John cleared his throat quietly. “Because everyone needs to unload once in a while.” He smiled slightly at Ronon’s neutral grunt.

“Maybe you’re right,” Ronon answered quietly.

John sauntered back to the tall Satedan. “Wanna talk about it?”

Ronon looked at John and smiled in gratitude.

Oh thank you so much!!!! I loved it and it rings perfectly with the way I'd see these two 'try' to talk to one another.

Squishes, John and Ronon!

You're welcome! I hope it helped.

and for sure with those two. It's a wonder they can ever exchange 5 words of substance they're so closed up in a lot of ways.

*luffs Ronon and Sheppard*

All the stories I thought to recommend have either already been suggested or are your own! I've really enjoyed reading these - full of warm fuzzies for us all. :) Hope they've helped and you are feeling better! Wish I could add to the list but I'll have to just send hugs your way instead (a great big Ronon hug)!

Thanks for the Ronon hug. It's been a pile of RL and to be honest, two weeks of gray skies with no sun! Had some today and Eric and I walked to a place to eat and it helped a lot. Put in 'blues buster' lightbulbs in as well.

Thought I'd chime in with one of my favorites; I don't think it's been mentioned...

Home is Where the Humidifier Is

And.. Wow! I didn't realize how much slash I had in this category! Gotta tone that down...

This might not be exactly what you want but maybe you want to give it a try:

http://community.livejournal.com/sgagenrefinders/406801.html

Most of them are slash (don't know if you read that) but there are some Gen/Pre-Slash ones too. I can't recommend you a specific story because I haven't started reading them yet, sorry.
