OUCH
Beware this is pure reaction and ramble.
I know some on my f-list were not happy with all the 'stand alone' eppys, but there was a reason, because the road to the end of days was going to be damn depressing.
I know the reasons for this path. Demoralize Sam and Dean so they say yes. Showing them 'heaven', although as Dean said, it's Memorex. Loved seeing Ash and Pamela again, though was that them? I'm not sure.
This was dark and depressing, but I thought well done. Seeing glimpses of Dean with his mother. Being the one for her, and come on the "We luw Hugs" shirt is so going to become an icon everywhere.
Sam's version of peace on Earth was away from his family, not a surprise given the circumstances. I loved Zach, he had some amazing lines chasing them in the woods.
The end really hurt. Poor Cass, now he's lost faith....and I think that was all part of the plan. Taking out the last leg of faith and hope. Dean throwing away the necklace was heartbreaking, and it's Sam who still clings to the idea of them fighting.
I think he saved the necklace.
One has to wonder if this was God's test, really leaving things in the hands of two humans to save the world against all odds. If he's on Earth... Will we see him?
Was it really Joshua?
So, many questions and what, five eppys before we know what happens?
Oh boys. Oh Cass.
