kristen999My thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the horrible earthquake and tsunami in Japan. The footage is devastating. I had no idea that the tsunami hit only 15 mins later.

GlobalGiving has created the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund to distribute donations to various relief groups. Some of the groups they are helping include Save the Children and the International Medical Corps. You make a donation to this group here.
World Vision also has plans for possible deployment to Japan and other affected areas. They plan on distributing food, water, medical supplies, and shelter to those who need it. To help with this charity. You donate here.

Date: 2011-03-12 07:07 am (UTC)Yes it is. I've been up until after midnight (early morning in Japan) and have seen on CNN the damage the Tsunami made. There are buildings that seem to be situated in the middle of a lake - only they are not. It's (standing? slowly retreating?) water from the Tsunami and the people are trapped in the buildings...
