I guess I've been exhausted?

Over the last few weeks my sleep cycle has been off and I'm not sure why. I tend to go to bed everyday at the same time because it takes me forever to fall asleep. But lately, I keep waking up several times a night and feeling pretty drained as a result.
Yesterday when I got home from work I faceplanted for an hour and woke up with a slight fever. So, I was feeling like crap on top of it. My allergies have started acting up with the it's spring no it's going to snow weather, but I was actually fine yesterday. Then my fever spiked over night, I took a bath to cool off and I called in sick this morning. (I learned long ago to call in sick and sleep then 'manning up' and going in ill for several days)
I slept till noon today and I'm feeling much more rested. The fever is still kind of there, but not much. I'm guessing my body's been fighting something off?
I'm going to chill on the sofa and catch up on some e-mail and reading.

About the sleeping thing - are you "sensitive" to the moon? Two of my co-workers always sleep very badly when it is full moon (just a you described, waking up several times at night and being not rested). Maybe it's a combination with a bug...

Date: 2011-04-21 08:18 pm (UTC)They gave me Benadryl, commonly used in hospitals etc., when I was in skilled nursing and when I left the RN told me I could get same thing OTC in Tylenol PM
I cannot sleep otherwise. I take 1 tab about half hour before I want to go to bed. Sometimes an hour.
I never take more or less and have been doing so since I left skilled nursing end of 2003.

Date: 2011-04-23 07:07 pm (UTC)Sleep Time never even made a dent in my problem
The neurologists at VAMC told me my hypothalamus is probably damaged due to my brain surgeries and
also my having worked shifts in military probably is part of it. We were working same kind as air traffic controllers have been......8 on and 8 off......for a cycle of five days.

Date: 2011-04-22 06:01 am (UTC)Chill and get better girl! Glad you took the time. I tend to fall into the "man up" category myself, though the people at work have been good at chasing me home before. ;)
