Over the last few weeks my sleep cycle has been off and I'm not sure why. I tend to go to bed everyday at the same time because it takes me forever to fall asleep. But lately, I keep waking up several times a night and feeling pretty drained as a result.

Yesterday when I got home from work I faceplanted for an hour and woke up with a slight fever. So, I was feeling like crap on top of it. My allergies have started acting up with the it's spring no it's going to snow weather, but I was actually fine yesterday. Then my fever spiked over night, I took a bath to cool off and I called in sick this morning. (I learned long ago to call in sick and sleep then 'manning up' and going in ill for several days)

I slept till noon today and I'm feeling much more rested. The fever is still kind of there, but not much. I'm guessing my body's been fighting something off?

I'm going to chill on the sofa and catch up on some e-mail and reading.

It's possible it's fighting something. We had the weirdest case of strep where the kiddo didn't even complain, but they just found it at the doc's office and then I was pretty sure we had because we felt SO tired, but not as bed-ridden as strep can make you feel. Kiddo? Never complained ONCE though. This is a WEIRD sick season.

*HUGE hugs* Relax. And good for you for calling in sick! It's bizarre how most people won't!

I did relax, watched some TV and played online. Even worked on my current fic, but mostly I just vegged.

Back at work! lol

*hugs you*

Hope you are feeling better soon!

About the sleeping thing - are you "sensitive" to the moon? Two of my co-workers always sleep very badly when it is full moon (just a you described, waking up several times at night and being not rested). Maybe it's a combination with a bug...

I'm not sure if I'm sensitive to the lunar cycle. I should check that out. I'm feeling better though. Thank you.

Tylenol PM tablets
They gave me Benadryl, commonly used in hospitals etc., when I was in skilled nursing and when I left the RN told me I could get same thing OTC in Tylenol PM
I cannot sleep otherwise. I take 1 tab about half hour before I want to go to bed. Sometimes an hour.
I never take more or less and have been doing so since I left skilled nursing end of 2003.

I have taken Tylenol PM before and makes me feel hungover the next day.

I might switch back to Sleepy Time Tea which is all natural which isn't habit forming. Things will settle eventually.

If you take it too late and do not have 8 hours of sleep possible then it can be hard on you
Sleep Time never even made a dent in my problem
The neurologists at VAMC told me my hypothalamus is probably damaged due to my brain surgeries and
also my having worked shifts in military probably is part of it. We were working same kind as air traffic controllers have been......8 on and 8 off......for a cycle of five days.

Meant to comment over here earlier. Hope you are feeling better and that a day of resting and taking it easy does the trick!

Resting and sleeping did do the trick. I don't feel like ground hamburger right now. Thank you!

hope you're feeling better? Sounds like you were fighting something and abnormal sleep patterns interrupting your rest never help that either.

Chill and get better girl! Glad you took the time. I tend to fall into the "man up" category myself, though the people at work have been good at chasing me home before. ;)

I used to do the 'man up' thing and found it made things worse. I'd be ill longer vs. taking the time to get better. My last job it was more difficult to do, but since I work at a Co-Op, they're much more caring about their employee's health. Which is still hard to get used to!

Thank you!
