Reaction to 2x09....Plus Trailer for 2.10
Nov. 15th, 2011 11:16 amHere is my **happy** reaction post to H50’s 2.09. Short and sweet.
Warning—this is a squee zone. I love Grumpy bears, I know a few, but please find another cave, thanks :D
Also, the trailer to next week’s eppy. Comments will probably contain discussion of the trailer.
The eppy was fun! With a capitol F. I don’t get hung up on how complex the cases becomes, because I actually was surprised by a few twists and turns.
Steve needs to wear those track pants more often. And dare I say that was the most adorable scene ever. Alex and Scott have so much chemistry.
Kono with the sniper rifle equal WIN in my book. (I need to write a fic where Steve and Kono bond over the finer points of marksmanship)--His proud and impressed expression was so cute.
Chin’s asking for license and registration with the shotgun was a riot.
Max being miffed at Steve and Danny and Steve being extra special nice to him with supreme effect was a hoot!
Side note: Steve looked extra sexy tonight. New haircut and that blue shirt...yum.
Lots of Steve and Danny time. Loved the take down on the boat, but then again I'm a sucker for Steve using his military moves. And the whole bad cop/ good cop playing with the in international waters thing was funny. I liked how over the top it was...Steve being extra menacing, and Danny being ‘in on the act’
Danny's bit in the interrogation was cool.
Lori and Max! I thought it was cute and Lori seemed to fit in better as the ‘rookie’ and I think that’s how they should play her role more.
I dunno. It was fun, it continued the tread of better screen time for everyone and the boys' faces at the end being one-upped by Max was priceless.
Oh and here’s the trailer for next week!
OMG there's going to have to be so0o much hand waving about the plot, but I don't care!
“We bring Steve home, or we don’t come back at all.”

Date: 2011-11-15 04:52 pm (UTC)Oh Kodiak, this season has been chocked full of stuff. The premiere was like fanfic, 2.06, and next week's looks like Steve goes through the wringer.

Date: 2011-11-15 04:48 pm (UTC)And this week's episode was so much fun. I was busting up the whole time at Max's silent treatment, and Steve and Danny's utter confusion on how to react. And then when they saw Lori walk by at the end and rushed out the door... They are just too great!!

Date: 2011-11-15 06:53 pm (UTC)These last few eppys have been great--it's as if the TPTB wanted to give us all the fluff before next week!

Date: 2011-11-15 11:07 pm (UTC)And OMG I agree with pretty much everything you said. I loved this episode because it had so many great moments and so many twists that at the end I was like "whoa! 360!". The only thing I'm still not sure of and that is Lori. Dunno why but she presses my buttons. This week she was a little better, maybe because she was more like a "rookie" this week than in previous. *shrugs*
BUT OMG, NEXT WEEK!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!! *flails*

Date: 2011-11-16 01:53 am (UTC)*is trying not to think about next week and failing!*
I'm not sure about Lori. On one hand, I'm sick of the black cloud over fandom. I get it. I'm not a fan of hers, but I'm so tried of all the negativity, esp given the slow improvement over the last few weeks. I prefer the fab four without an extra person, but I'm not letting her be a distraction.
If the writers would actually give her something to work with and I dunno---write her a better personalty, there is promise. I’m in the minority but besides her dialogue about sparring with her boyfriend in 2.06, I liked her scenes with Steve in the locker room and she emoted some great worry for him at ringside.
I'm just trying to be positive force you know? :-p

Date: 2011-11-16 02:26 am (UTC)Maybe it has something to do with the whole Jenna thing. I was leery of her from day one so now I'm paranoid of all new women on the team. *shrugs* Well we shall see won't we.
Either way ... I'm so freaking excited for next week. If it weren't for Hawaii Five-0, I'd have no reason to like Mondays! ;)
