60th Anniversary of Hiroshima

Today around this time, the end of W.W.II was almost completed. We dropped a bomb on Hiroshima, the only country in the world to ever use a nuclear device. All debate aside, this kept us from invading Japan, which would have cost so many lives, keeping the war going.
However, on this date, one of the most terrorizing weapons in the world was unleashed and our lives were never the same. The horror of nuclear war was born this day..countless thousands killed, many more generations effected by the fallout.
Pray that this will NEVER happen again. Hope that no one ever has to bear witness to such torture and death.
For what we have now is 100 times worse than what we dropped over 60 years ago. A moment of silence and reflection on what happened. The brave men who carried out the mission, the countless thousands of innocents who died on this day.

Hey
Date: 2005-08-06 02:16 pm (UTC)Again, a moment of silence for both sides who lost lives, what was sacrified by all, what was saved by not extending the war, and Thank those wonderful men and women who fought for our country, and pray that it never comes to that again, because no matter what political side you fall on, no one ever want to see that again, we all want better.
Thank you for posting this!
