My happy thoughts under the cut

I really liked this episode. It was filled with so much TEAM being all BAMF that I was beside myself.

It was nice to see Toast again and that he freaked out was a nice change of pace. Not everyone can go into the lion's den!

The raid into the hacker warehouse was cool, and how much did I love Kono going through the window?

I thought they handled Mary's storyline well, her anger is very justified and I need to re-watch it again to hear all the details of her crying at her father's gave. It is amazing how much Mary and Steve have so much love for a father that sent them away at such early ages.

The older gentlemen Mary was in charge of caring was a hoot. I loved him.

Th hostage situation was very tense. I LOVED the ruse with the truck. As soon as Kono went inside and they showed both Danny and Chin, I knew Steve was doing some SEAL thing under the truck. The road rash was a very nice touch and what a stunt sequence. Wow!

And Kono kicked major ass! Thank you. Guess those Team sparring sessions pay off! That is my head canon. *nods*

The end with Mary and Doris, and Steve smiling at the end? Awww.

This was an eppy I had no exceptions and enjoyed it quite a bit.

So much fun! This ep was filled with all the good stuff. I especially loved Steve crawling out from under that truck. Oh, Steve. :D

Loved seeing Toast again, (impunity!) and loved that things didn't go smoothly with Mary. And I may have gotten a bit sniffly there at the end.

There was some great action in this eppy and not just throw-away silliness, but some real engaging stuff. I can't wait to re-watch it tomorrow!

Like it, loved the all-around badassery and the aww moment at the end. I do however feel those McGarrett kids won't be so forgiving whem mom shows her cards for real because I do not totally trust Doris yet... too many secrets still.

I'm still waiting for the shoes to drop on Doris, because Steve knows she's up to something.

Yes to all of this! I love how this season they're managing to combine team and extra characters and arc and case of the week and keep everything moving and everything's just flowing and and and

*breathes*

*ahem* It was great! :)

I loved it too! Kono was fabulous, but so were the rest of the team, too. SO nice to see a very teamy episode but with Kono leading for a change -- I thought it had a great balance.

And the Steve-Danny-Toast thing made me laugh out loud. Impunity, indeed! :D

Balance. Yes, that's the word I needed last night. So much balance and fun and kick ass action.

I really loved the Team action in this ep, and Kono was wonderful! I also liked how all the minor characters got some love: Toast definitely knowing what was too rich for his blood ( and his "glandular problem"), Doris genuinely being stressed out over seeing her daughter again, Max slowly recovering and being able to resume his spin class (yay for continuity!), and Mary with her elderly charge (I may have wiped a year during that advice-giving scene).

Max's injury has been the best continuity for the show, dare I wish we had that some of the other characters, but they get A for him. I want to see Steve,e Mary and Doris in the same scene, especially when we learn of her shenanigans.

Can't wait to watch this one again :)

(And for the record? Steve McGarrett in kevlar does things to me. Bad, bad good things.)

The scene with the truck was ridiculous and awesome and I loved it. I'd been wanting some BAMF!Kono and we definitely got it this week.

The ending with Steve watching Doris and Mary definitely tugged on my heart strings. :) I love his fond face.

The scene in the warehouse and the entire truck sequence from Steve, to China and Danny to Kono was just amazing.

The older gentlemen Mary was in charge of caring was a hoot. I loved him.

He had a recurring role on "Boston Legal" as one of the judges and was a hoot there too!

I liked the way they handled the whole Mary finds out about her Mom and the fact that she doesn't at first going running back to her.

The Mary thing was handled well and I still think there is a lot of anger there, we just didn't get to see it.

I felt that it was a delicious change of pace (I've *just* watched it)

it was 43 mins of good characters, no major ridiculousness, kind of classic case fic in its way. They were worried about each other, supported each other, worked together as a team.

Toast! I had to do something today at work which pretty much totally freaked me out. I could have easily done a Toast and said "PLan B, fuck it; I am out of here. So I was completely empathising with him

YES, on all four counts. I knew Larry would do a good job directing now I need to see if the writer has anything else planned for the season :)

I love Kono in this episode so much! The window (the way Steve calmly says "One" and suddenly Kono comes in through the window? So awesome! I can see them training this timing/sequence.), the hostage situation and then she fights the bad guy in the moving truck and takes him down after falling out of said moving truck. I love her!

The truck scene was so cool! I couldn't believe my eyes when Steve unrolled under it! I knew something was up but I suspected him eiter on the roof or I don't know, somewhere completely different. But this? Made of awesome!

I really like Danny vs. Toast. *giggles* *pets Danny*

This was a really, really, really great episode!

Lots of great team stuff in this one - that was the best part for me.

Agree about the road rash - what a great bit of detail and yeah, awesome stunt sequence. There were quite a few cool stunt moments and I totally agree with your head canon. Why is there not Team Sparring Fic - or if there is, why have I not seen it?

I've just seem this episode and I'm with you. I thoroughly enjoyed myself (although the Dad doesn't seem like someone who should be in charge of a car if he gets lost on his way back from somewhere he's just been, on a small place like Oahu. Once I was over that however).

It was great to see Toast again, and "live long and perspire" cracked me up.

BAMF and sneaky Steve and Kick Arse Kono. What a pair.

McMom, yeah. Just waiting for the shit to really hit the fan there when we find out what she's really up to. Then it will be epic (or I hope so anyway).

Great all round episode.
