Writing question.

Have you ever had a pretty cool idea pop in your head for a fic and once you got your thoughts together you realized that the plot has been covered a lot by other writers?

I mean there are only so many plots in any genre and with a fandom as big certain themes are going to be explored over and over. When does it reach a saturation point and when your 'twist' enough to do it justice?

I've been pondering an idea for a one shot for a while, but I don't like similarity towards other writer's stories. Its kind of frustrating but I think I'm going to go ahead and do it.

Of course I have so many one shot ideas flying around in my head, who knows which one will bite first...but I do want to write something about Shep and his love for flying and the use of an alien craft...have a novel twist as I've said.

Hmmmmmmmm

Oh, don't worry about that. SGA is especially known for its fic genres, and I'm sure whatever you write will have it's own original twist. As a matter of fact, I insist you write whichever fabulous idea hits first. We'll love it! ^___^
