I watched the the first two episodes of Arrow. I HIGHLY approve. High production value, killer action, dark with a ton of angst. It is not overly cheesy, it's more like Batman Begins in theme/tone. If they keep the melodrama to the low levels thus far, I'll be quite happy to sit along for the ride.

Not to mention the added bonus that John Barrowman will be in eppy five. Not sure if it's reoccurring.

I am quite excited by these.

When fandom and life collides:

Best question someone asked me at work today:

Employee: "Hey, you like comics, why did that guy from the Avengers change his costume and stuff?"

Me: "Huh?"

Employee: "Yeah, he got stranded on some island and his costume is green now."

Turns out said person saw "Arrow" and thought he was watching a “Hawkeye” TV show. Poor D.C. They never win.


Fic:

I’ve been writing all summer and into the fall. My big H50 story is in the beta stages and while I can’t wait to share, editing takes time.

It only took a few days before the muse was restless and I began a very angsty one-shot. It’s quite an about face to the epic and intense isn’t the word for it. It won’t be everyone's cup of tea.


TV:

My dvds are lost in the mail. *head desk* I wanted to do a “Person of Interest” re-watch, but I guess POI in blueray will have to wait. *salivates at the thought*

This season of “Supernatural” is already ten times better than the previous two. I'd almost lost hope, but with the change in show runners, it finally seems like we’re back on track. Thank goodness.



Me:

Somehow I pulled a muscle in my thigh last week and not only does it hurt more everyday, but my hip is killing from over compensating. I started taking the bus to work to keep the pressure off, but I'm sick of the pain. And the ace wrap that is either too tight or too loose.

I brought home a four pack of organic chocolate ganache cupcakes from my co-op. I’ve eaten one and I’m staring at a second. *hides the box*
